7 Month Session | Cam

Hi… my name is Jennifer and it has been 4 months since my last blog post. Uh, yeah. Really. I’ve already ‘fessed up to being the World’s Worst Blogger on more than one occasion, so it’s time to move on already. Heck, it’s a new year and a new day and I’m eager to play catch up and show off all my ah-mazing clients from 2013, in addition to my new clients in 2014! At least there is no shortage of material! Anyhoo…. since I’ll be photographing this little guy’s cake smash session later this week, let’s start by showing off his 7 month shoot. Could he be any cuter? Probably not. I fell in love with him at his 3 month session and can’t wait to see him again! Word on the street is that he’ll probably be walking soon. Enjoy!

Family Portrait Session | J Family

Now that I’m back from holiday, I am so delighted to finally share these images from the recipient’s of January’s Olivia’s Act.  When I first reached out to Michelle with the news of a photography session, she was so touched that our mutual friend Kim – a classmate of hers – had nominated her.  I simply couldn’t have asked for a more deserving and gracious family.

Michelle and her husband Corey rekindled their relationship over a year ago after a 1.5 year separation, during which time Michelle was struggling as a single mom. Not only was Michelle raising three children, but she also worked full-time while attending school part-time. That’s why it took so long for us to settle on a date for our session – this is one busy mama!  Michelle couldn’t express enough how incredible it is to be back with her husband and how amazing it is to be a real family again. I think the looks on their faces says it all… this is a couple in love! I was so grateful at their willingness to receive this gift and to capture their beautiful family at such a wonderful point in their lives. Thank you to the J family for a lovely morning in the park!

Family Session | Randi + Jordyn

I loved this little session from last weeks Location People Workshop with Bryan Allen Photography. Randi and Jordyn graciously donated their time to our workshop at which I was happily playing the role of mentor. There was so much love between mother and daughter and I know they will have lots to share when Jordyn’s baby brother arrives in the next several weeks. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon of play!

Fashion Shoot | Lily

Now for the 2nd half of our fashion shoot from Bryan Allen‘s Location People Workshop in San Francisco this past week! At just 14 and 6’ tall, Lily was full of teenage enthusiasm with the maturity of someone far older and I don’t even know where to start in expressing my gratitude to our models for this shoot. They gave their time and energy to make the day an incredibly successful one. And an extra big thank you to fashion designer Michael Kouri, stylist Simone Vianna, make up artist Cesar Rivera and hair stylists Ozzie Mendoza (Lily’s hair) and Renne Alejandro (Victoria’s hair) for their vision and creativity. I am forever grateful for how much they – along with some incredibly talented students and teachers – have inspired me this week!

This past week I had the pleasure of mentoring at Bryan Allen‘s Location People Workshop in San Francisco. Previously, I have attended Bryan’s workshops in Knoxville, TN and when he asked me to mentor, no simply wasn’t an option! Not only is he an incredible photographer, but his enthusiasm and vision is contagious and the good people I was surrounded by this week will be a part of my life forever. How do I know this? Because I already  miss them, that’s why! And expect to see a lot more of Victoria – the incredible model in this set. Everyone dreams of a model that is up for anything, doesn’t whine (it was cold and windy during our shoot and even when her fingers were turning purple, she didn’t utter a single complaint, citing that she was simply having too much fun), and still manages a laugh or two when things get a little too serious. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the most inspiring of weeks!

3 Month Session | Cam

It’s official. There really is no wrong time to photograph your baby. At just 3 months of age, Cam was full of curiosity, delight, and giggles. I absolutely adored him (and his parents!) and am already eagerly anticipating our next session together in just a few months time!
