I loved this little session from last weeks Location People Workshop with Bryan Allen Photography. Randi and Jordyn graciously donated their time to our workshop at which I was happily playing the role of mentor. There was so much love between mother and daughter and I know they will have lots to share when Jordyn’s baby brother arrives in the next several weeks. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon of play!
Now for the 2nd half of our fashion shoot from Bryan Allen‘s Location People Workshop in San Francisco this past week! At just 14 and 6’ tall, Lily was full of teenage enthusiasm with the maturity of someone far older and I don’t even know where to start in expressing my gratitude to our models for this shoot. They gave their time and energy to make the day an incredibly successful one. And an extra big thank you to fashion designer Michael Kouri, stylist Simone Vianna, make up artist Cesar Rivera and hair stylists Ozzie Mendoza (Lily’s hair) and Renne Alejandro (Victoria’s hair) for their vision and creativity. I am forever grateful for how much they – along with some incredibly talented students and teachers – have inspired me this week!
This past week I had the pleasure of mentoring at Bryan Allen‘s Location People Workshop in San Francisco. Previously, I have attended Bryan’s workshops in Knoxville, TN and when he asked me to mentor, no simply wasn’t an option! Not only is he an incredible photographer, but his enthusiasm and vision is contagious and the good people I was surrounded by this week will be a part of my life forever. How do I know this? Because I already miss them, that’s why! And expect to see a lot more of Victoria – the incredible model in this set. Everyone dreams of a model that is up for anything, doesn’t whine (it was cold and windy during our shoot and even when her fingers were turning purple, she didn’t utter a single complaint, citing that she was simply having too much fun), and still manages a laugh or two when things get a little too serious. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the most inspiring of weeks!
It’s official. There really is no wrong time to photograph your baby. At just 3 months of age, Cam was full of curiosity, delight, and giggles. I absolutely adored him (and his parents!) and am already eagerly anticipating our next session together in just a few months time!
It’s true… time does fly when you’re having fun!! This was our 3rd session together this past year and I always know we’re in for a good time before we even start. Aurora is increasingly full of smiles and giggles and it has been wonderful watching her grow… I just can’t believe she’s ONE already!! Another happy birthday to this sweet little girl! I’m already looking forward to seeing what this next year brings!
Well, that was fun! It’s always bittersweet when a project comes to a close, but I’m also looking forward to
a more relaxing month ahead the start of summer! Woot! Thank you to everyone who followed along for the entire month of May, and if you’re just stumbling upon the project, feel free to check out the other weeks here, here, here and HERE!
Phew, another week gone by and only 3 more days left!! May sure is passing by at lightning speed! If you missed the previous 3 weeks of the project, please view them here, here and here; or…. check them out on the Skirt A Day in May Facebook Page!
Week THREE!!! Wowza!! I won’t lie, there is a part of me that is looking forward to June but only because I’m super busy at present and finding time for a selfie isn’t always easy. Fortunately, the fun side of the project WINS!! If you missed week one and two, you can view them <<<<<<< over there! And as per usual, feel free to view our daily posts over on the Skirt A Day in May Facebook Page! Another week and a half to go….. and quite likely some wardrobe pieces will be starting to repeat. Because while I do have a lot of dresses, I don’t have that many! Honest! ;)
There is nothing I love more than a mom who is super prepared! This cutie’s mom wanted some invitation photos to send to her relatives for her daughter’s 1 year birthday celebration, so we did a quick little photo session when Aurora was just 10 months. I am so happy to finally be able to share these images now that she has reached her big milestone. I simply can’t wait to photograph her Cake Smash Session this week but in the meantime, here’s wishing sweet Aurora a super big HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY for today!!! xo
If you missed last week’s post, please visit my last entry here. <<<<<< there
Difficult to believe that Kristin and I are already halfway through May. Even MORE difficult to believe that I apparently have a LOT of dresses…. ssssh, don’t tell my husband!! Kidding on that last note – he’s the last one to care and the first one to encourage me to buy another. Unfortunately, not all of my dresses are appropriate for daytime which is why I love May so much…. it gives me an extra reason to wear them! If you would like to share your own May skirt photos, please feel free to join our wee group on Facebook!
